Florence Schaubroeck

October 6, 1928 – November 15, 2022

 

Peacefully, after a lengthy illness, Florence passed away on November 15, 2022.

 

Florence was born October 6, 1928, in Marienthal, Saskatchewan and lived on the family farm there for a few years. The family then moved to Poplar Point, Manitoba where she continued her schooling until they moved to St. James, Manitoba where she attended school at St. Charles Convent. She married Armand Schaubroeck on April 25, 1949 and they lived in Winnipeg for almost 10 years until they purchased the homestead where Armand had been born.

 

She leaves to mourn her daughter, Michele and grandson Raymond (Charlene), and her great-grandchildren Alex, Russel, Sam, Nick and Justice, as well as great-great-granddaughter Hex. She also leaves to mourn her in-laws Lorraine Schaubroeck, Eleanore Schaubroek, Eveline Lagace, Gertrude (Laurent Gagne) and Camile Schaubroeck (Denise) as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

 

Florence was predeceased by her parents John and Perpetua (nee Muller) Linn, as well as husband Armand and son Guy. She was also predeceased by her seven siblings: Rose (George) Carlson, Helen (Albert) Lemoine, Chris (Emma) Linn, Margaret (George) Turenne, Louise (Hugh) Stone, Hubert Linn and Clara (Tom) Thoroski.

 

The family sends a special thanks to the staff of the 2nd Floor at River Park Gardens for their care and compassion during her final months.

 

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on November 25, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Vital Catholic Church, 1629 Pembina Hwy. Interment will follow at Saint Hyacinthe Cemetery, La Salle, Manitoba.

 

Flowers are gratefully declined. If friends so desire, donations may be made in Florence’s memory to a charity of your choice.
