CHRISTOPHER LUZNY

 

Christopher (Chris) Luzny passed away suddenly at his home on November 7th, 2022, at the age of 53. Chris leaves behind his loving wife Christie Luzny, his in-laws Brian and Jan, and brother-in-laws Barry (Ashley) and Allen (Kat). He will be deeply missed and remembered by his sister Krystyna (Miroslaw) Blazewicz, niece Annette (Matthew) Loewen and her children Paxton and Theodore, niece Michelle Luzny her son Nicholas Hyra, nephew Dennis (Lisa) Blazewicz, aunt Bozena Brankovic (Drago), his best friend Derek Dalman and his parents Mr. and Mrs. Dalman, and good friends Ken and Kyle. He will also be missed by family and many friends throughout Canada and Poland.

 

Christopher was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba on April 14th, 1969. There are many things he enjoyed in life. He loved to cook and to eat even more. Spicy foods were his favorite and the hotter the better. He also loved to travel. The best was when he was able to combine travel and food. He was a huge movie lover and even named his dogs after movie characters. He also enjoyed playing video games with his friends. He loved anything with an engine that went fast and would often take car rides to relax. He especially enjoyed spending time with family and friends especially during Christmas and Easter gatherings. 

 

He was predeceased by his father Henryk Luzny (2005), mother Wanda Luzny (2020), brother Zdzislaw Luzny (2020), grandfather Pawel Luzny, grandmother Antonina Luzny, grandfather Franciszek Czajkowski, grandmother Stefania Czajkowska, uncle Zdzislaw Luzny (2011), and uncle Jozef Luzny, uncle Jozef Czajkowski, uncle Rudolf Czajkowski, uncle Jan Czajkowski, and aunt Maria Kolowca.

 

A private service for family and close friends will be held on Saturday, November 19th, 2022 at St. John Cantius Church, 846 Burrows Avenue, with burial to follow at Holy Ghost Cemetery, 4387 Main Street.
