ALLAN W GIESBRECHT
It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Allan. Born December 12, 1946, died February 6, 2013. Preceded in death by loving wife Mary. Also preceded in death by sister Leona and parents Elizabeth and Edward.
Survived by son Bradley (Nancy), brother Victor (Ann), brother Ken (Cathy). Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Allan was born and raised in Winnipeg, MB. He worked at Tache nursing home wherehe met the love of his life Mary. They married on June 8, 1974 and raised their son Bradley. Allan coached Brad’s soccer team for 3 years and served on the Ralph Brown Recreation Executive Board. Allan was a proud of his past employment with Seven Oaks Hospital where he worked as an orderly, before he had to take early retirement due to a work related injury. He enjoyed camping, hockey, baseball, traveling, talking and visiting Minneapolis to spend time with his son and family.
Celebration of Allan’s life will take place Sunday February 10, 2013 at 1:00 pm at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street, Winnipeg, Manitoba. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Cancer Care Manitoba.
