BRADLEY HOUGHTON

Obituary of BRADLEY BENJAMIN HOUGHTON

BRADLEY BENJAMIN HOUGHTON

September 1, 1975 – October 3, 2022

Brad, Bradoulchik, Douly, Billy - a father, son, brother, grandson, nephew, uncle, cousin and friend passed away Monday, October 3, 2022 at the age of 47.

In all these relationships he was kind, funny, loving, feisty, outspoken and would do anything for anyone and always lit up the room with his smile and sense of humor.  Brad always gave the strongest hugs and had a big, distinct laugh.  He was intelligent and loved having deep conversations.  In Brad’s early years he loved playing hockey, chess, golf and Ukrainian dancing.  The love of golf continued into his adult years and would enjoy golfing in Winnipeg Beach with family and friends.

Brad also enjoyed hunting with his dad, where they would wait for hunting season to open.  Brad loved the beach, he would face the sun, close his eyes and tilt his head back. One of his favorite places to travel was to Cuba.  You could also find Brad spending his summer weekends at Winnipeg Beach surrounded by family.  Brad always loved entertaining and you would find him in front of the barbeque preparing delicious food to share with those around him. Those who met Brad were always greeted with a strong handshake, loving eyes and a big heart.

Through the years Brad fell into the grip of drugs.  We all struggled together when we saw how his smile and sparkle was stolen.

If there’s one thing Brad would want the world to know, in all the struggling, is how much he loved his precious daughter.  Leighton was the world to him.  Everyone who saw Brad with her knew she was his everything.

At some point, if you had an opportunity to know Brad, share a good story, have a good cry and laugh. Turn up a good tune and sing along. Then we know, Brad is right there with us.

The day Brad passed away a piece of all of us went with him.  Brad, we will miss you every day.

With the utmost love and compassion as we send him home, our hearts and spirits are with those who live and feel these same struggles.

We love you, Brad.
