JOAO JUIS FERREIRA DE AMARAL
January 12, 1957 – October 1, 2022

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Joao Luis Ferreira De Amaral on Saturday, October 1, 2022

Joao is survived by his wife of 30 years, Gilda, his daughter Jennifer (John), his son Jonathon (Brianna), and his three granddaughters Juliana, Jemma and Gabriella.

Joao was born on January 12, 1957 in Arrifes, Ponta Delgada, Sao Miguel, Acores, Portugal and immigrated to Canada with his wife and started his family.

Joao touched everyone’s hearts and lit up every room that he walked into. Family and friends meant everything to him. He made everyone laugh and never failed to put a smile on someone’s face. In his spare time, Joao loved to hunt and fish. He was so passionate about it and the endless stories he would tell after coming back from a hunting or fishing trip was the highlight of everyone’s day.

Husband, Pai, Vovô, brother, cousin, friend, you will be greatly missed. We love you so very much.

Prayers will be held on Thursday, October 6, 2022 at 6:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street Winnipeg with Funeral Service on Friday, October 7, 2022 at 1:30 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street, Winnipeg.  Interment to follow at Assumption Cemetery, 3990 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg.
