Obituary of EUGENE WERTEPNY
EUGENE WERTEPNY
Eugene Wertepny, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather peacefully passed away on Sunday, February 3, 2013 at the Maples Personal Care Home at the age of 94 years.
He is survived by his sons, Gene(Lorna) and Ed(Mary), granddaughter, Lindsay(Jared) and great-granddaughter Madison. He was predeceased by his wife Rita.
Eugene was born in Tarnopol, Poland on May 31, 1918. He came to Canada after the 2nd World War where he met and married his wife Rita. They had two sons. Eugene spent 35 years employed at Manitoba Bridge. After retiring in 1983, he enjoyed just relaxing, playing cards with friends and being with family.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Maples Personal Care Home for their care.
Viewing will be on Friday, February 8, 2013 at 9:30 am at the Holy Ghost Roman Catholic Church., 341 Selkirk Ave. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday February 8, 2013 at 10:00 am at the church with Oblate Father officiating. Interment to follow at Holy Ghost Cemetery, 4387 Main Street.
