Obituary of YVONNE DELARONDE
Yvonne DeLaronde
February 18, 1945 – September 5, 2022
In life, we loved you dearly, in death we love you still. In our hearts you hold a place, no one else will ever fill.
Yvonne passed peacefully with family at her side on September 5, 2022 in Winnipeg Manitoba at the age of 77. Yvonne DeLaronde was born in Swan River, Manitoba on February 18, 1945. Her mother always told her she was born on the 19th, so we celebrated her two birth dates for the past 77 years. Yvonne lived in Birch River, Swan River, Duck Bay and Winnipeg throughout her lifetime. She met the love of her life Louis DeLaronde in Duck Bay and on May 2, 1962 Yvonne married Louis. They were married for over 59 years, 4 months shy of 60 years! Yvonne worked in the post office and was an active member in the parish council. Yvonne enjoyed playing cards and bingo, sewing, crafting, baking, and spending time with all her grandchildren. She also enjoyed dancing, listening to fiddle music, and loved country singer Don Williams. She admitted love and light through prayer. In 2002, Yvonne moved to Winnipeg to be closer to her children and grandchildren. Yvonne had 25 grandchildren and 44 great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband Louis in January 2022, her parents Edna and Joe P Genaille, sisters Exilda and Patsey, brothers Peter and Martin, grandson Joseph, and granddaughters Mary and Amy.
Yvonne is survived by her siblings Roger, James, Gary, Bart (Mary) and Shirley (Ronald), sister in-law Jane, Florence, and Annette, brother in-law George, children Norman (Sally), Peter (Donna), Roger, Christine (Calvin), Beverly (Jeff), Jennifer (Kevin), Diane, Susan (Albert), 22 grandchildren and 44 grandchildren.
