In 1970 I was in Miss Kalinsky’s grade two class. She declared me ‘Best Dressed’. My mother liked that. She caught me and a boy fighting over a little metal motorcycle. Took it away. Then caught me rifling through her drawers trying to retrieve it. My mother didn’t like that.
