KYLE BUELL

Obituary of KYLE ERIC BUELL

It is with a heavy heart that I share the sudden passing of my son, Kyle Buell at the age of 28.

Kyle was born on May 3, 1994 in Winnipeg MB.
He attended Kent Road Elementary School and graduated from Grant Park High School in 2012.

Growing up he played power chair hockey, loved watching “How It’s Made” and cooking shows, and while he could he liked playing drums and graphic design.
Before Kyle finished high school the staff of Grant Park High School and the community of Winnipeg helped him fulfill his big dream of meeting his favourite hockey team the Calgary Flames. He spent an amazing week with the players. Something he never forgot.
Kyle also loved to play Blackjack and Poker. He was really good at poker, winning quite a few tournaments including a playnow tournament at Club Regent.

Diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy at an early age, Kyle fought many health battles during his life. The latest one he fought since November 2021, constantly in pain and on medication the doctors said they could find nothing. Finally, this last time he was transferred to Grace Hospital. Doctors there found a blockage in his colon and he went for surgery. Unfortunately, what they found was now untreatable and his organs were shutting down.
Kyle passed away within hours of this diagnosis.

Kyle leaves behind his mother Robin, Sister Melissa and the light of his life, his 4-year-old niece Aliyah. Auntie Sherri (Dale) and their children along with many other cousins and numerous friends.

We thank the Grace Hospital ICU doctors and nurses.
His 24 hour aides from ILRC especially Henry, Carl and Oliver that looked after Kyle so he could live a somewhat normal life at home and not in a care facility.

Cremation has taken place and a service for Kyle will be held at Cropo Funeral Chapel 1442 Main  Street on September 9, 2022 at 1:00 p.m.

All are welcome!

As Kyle requested, in lieu of flowers donations can be made to his niece Aliyah which will be set aside for her to access once she turns 18.
