MARIA ROSA RIBEIRO

February 20, 1936 – August 26, 2022

It is with profound sadness and the heaviest of hearts we announce the sudden passing of Maria Rosa Ribeiro, 86 years on Friday, August 26, 2022 of Winnipeg, Manitoban via San Miguel, Azores, Portugal. 

Maria was predeceased by her loving husband of 48 years, João (John) Alves Ribeiro, daughter Fatima, sisters Margarida and Julia.  Maria is survived by daughter Maria de Conceiçaõ (Manuel), son Carlos (Marlene), daughter Ivone (Kevin), sisters Beatriz, Estrela, Rosalind as well as her many beloved grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, September 13th at 1:00 p.m. at the Immaculate Conception Parish, 181 Austin St. N. with interment to follow at Assumption Cemetery 3990 Portage Ave., Winnipeg.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to CancerCare Manitoba, Alzheimer’s Society of Manitoba or any charity of your choice.
