Obituary of KONSTANTIN (KEN) SZYKOLUK
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our dear father, Konstantin (Ken) Szykoluk at the age of 94 on August 12, 2022.
Ken will be missed by his: son, John (Karen) of Huntsville, daughter, Helen, grandchildren Kristen and James (Natasha). He is also survived by his siblings: Helen Hruszanyk, Nadia Dyck, Alex Shykoluk (Sally), Mary Nedecky, John Shykoluk (Louisa), Anna Sikora (Peter) and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his: beloved wife, Gladys, parents, Olga and Steve Shykoluk, brother-in-laws, Bill, Jacob, and Peter, parents-in-law, Anna and Augustine, sister-in-laws and their husbands, Maria (Michael), Amelia (Jack), and Helen (John).
Ken was born in Poland in 1927 and came to Canada in 1949. He married Gladys in Winnipeg in 1951.Together with their parents, siblings and in-laws they worked hard to build their future in Manitoba and celebrated many family gatherings. Ken loved the outdoors especially gardening, fishing and camping.
The funeral service will be held at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street on Thursday, August 25, 2022 at 10:00 AM, with an Oblate Father officiating. Interment to follow in Holy Ghost Cemetery, 4387 Main Street.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Ken to a charity of your choice.
