Nessie was so generous, kind. She taught me how to swim between the 2 docks. I loved evenings crowded around the kitchen table, playing cards. Join in honoring their life - plant a memorial tree

Gramma, Great Gramma, Ness, You were such a shining light for all of us to be around. You always told Graeme and I what wonderful parents we were and what wonderful children we raised and how proud of us you were every time you saw us. We will never forget that. Both Graeme and I and our kids will never forget all the wonderful stories you told us at the lake and at all the family functions. My kids will always say your Scottish prayer before all of our family meals and our wonderful and loud AAAAAMMMMEEEEN after the prayer. Thank you for loving our kids so deeply and always being their #1 sports fan. They loved seeing Great Gramma in the stands.
You lived such a marvelous life, one that most could only dream to live. You raised an amazing family of 3 kids which blossomed with their spouses, 5 grandchildren and their spouses, and 8 great grandchildren, you were the matriarch to this family and you will be missed deeply. We will ensure that your spirit lives on through each of us. We love you and miss you always.
Love always, Graeme and Amy and family

Nancy, I would like to extend my sympathy to you and your family in the loss of your Mom. We shared many “Mom stories” whenever our paths crossed at Concordia Village or at the grocery store. I know that you will always miss your Mom, and she will always be in your heart. You were a very, very good daughter.

I was sorry to hear of the passing of Ness. She was a patient of mine and I considered her as a friend. She was always happy and enjoyed talking about her family, cottage life and her travels. She will be missed and always remembered. Dennis Chester

I have very wonderful memories of Ness from my time at The Bay. Her larger than life personality was really a treat and she was a great rep when I was manager of Lingerie-she was efficient, thorough, humorous and always had a smile for everyone. She dealt with my clerical, Ella Binns, as a valued equal and was interested in all of the staff. She touched many people and left an indelible imprint!!!

Me and my Gramma had a wonderful relationship. I remember the car rides with her to the lake, for ice cream or just to get outside and drive. Gramma loved to drive. I remember her saying "Weeeeeeee" whenever we would take big turns. Whether she was driving or in the passenger seat when I drove, Gramma would always say that. Every once and while to this day, I say it when I drive. Gramma had such a great sense of humour and would never shy away from having a goofy moment. As I got older into my mid-20s and now into my early 30s, Gramma and I would talk on the daily. I would see "Gramma" pop up on my phone and I would start off by saying "Hi Gramma" and she would always reply "Hi Hon!! How we doing? I was just sitting here and I thought to myself, I'm going to phone Dylan". I can replay that in my head whenever I want, and it makes me happy. I remember seeing all the clips of Gramma in her commercials and movies and thinking that my Gramma was the coolest. Learning about how that turkey dinner commercial was made is a great story. Memories I hold dearest to my heart are the phone calls, the dinners I would make for my Gramma (she loved my grilled cheese and soup), the ice cream dates and the Winnipeg Jets games we would watch together and her being there when I married my wife Kelsey. One thing I will miss will be the birthday phone calls. Gramma's rendition of the birthday song will live on forever. It's the single greatest birthday phone call you could ever receive. I will cherish every moment I had with my Gramma, I will think of her often and I will miss and love her forever.

I could go on and on about all the wonderful memories I have of mom—Baking, planting flowers in the yard,
“Always look your best even if you’re just going to the store” Boxing Day shopping, our trip to Cuba together and Disneyland with Jim and the boys. You were always there for me mom, I couldn’t have asked for a better mother! Apparently I even look like you so I’ve been told “you must be Ness Beattie’s daughter” which I always took as a compliment!
I will love you and miss you for the rest of my life❤️
