Obituary of JOSEPH ANEECHIN

JOSEPH ANEECHIN Peacefully with his family by his side, Joseph Aneechin (Jigging Joe) passed away at the Seven Oaks Hospital, at the age of 85 years. He was predeceased by his wife Clara Aneechin in 2009, his parents Margaret (nee McKay) and Clement Aneechin, and brother John. He is survived by his children Vivian (Robert), Linda (Glen), Bruce (Dolly), Dave (Virginia), Garry (Jackie), Daddy’s Little Girl Lydia, Floyd (Lucy), and Howard. Also two sisters, Flora and Margie, three brothers-in-law David Campbell, Joe Campbell, Harvey Campbell, sister-in-law Martha Opitz (Steve), numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to say thank you to the 5th floor unit 5 staff of Seven Oaks Hospital and also to Larry Guinto (Homecare) for his patience and special care for Dad. The family also extends gratitude to the Pine Creek Band for their support and we extend our appreciation to Claudette and her children for their support, help, and comfort. A Wake will be held on Sunday, February 3, from 6:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, February 4, at 11:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street with Pastor Don Genaille officiating. Interment to follow at Brookside Cemetery.
