Obituary of DELPHINE DOREEN JONES
DELPHINE DOREEN JONES
Delphine Doreen Jones (Tittlemier) was born in Winnipeg on May 24, 1940 and passed away on June 7, 2022.
Her early years were spent living on the family farm in River Hills, Manitoba. At ten years of age in 1950, after the passing of her father the family moved to Transcona. In 1958 Del met Ken at the Transcona Pirates Community Club and they were married that same year, Del and Ken remained married for 64 years. Del was a strong supporter of her church; she joined the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd and was confirmed in 1963.
Del was always very proud of her two granddaughters and was especially blessed with the arrival of her two great grandchildren. She had fond memories of working at CFB Winnipeg and later at the Child Guidance Clinic where she retired in 1985. Del was a very charitable person and many were attracted to her personality and warm character. She loved to craft and spent many years quilting producing many quilts for her family to enjoy for many years to come.
She will be missed by all that knew her.
Del was predeceased by her mother Olga (Abraham) Tittlemier and father Roy Tittlemier, step father Arthur Smith and brother Richard Tittlemier.
Del is survived by her husband Ken Jones, daughter Lisa (Ken) Rempel, granddaughters Sarah (Kevin) Lewis and Chelsea (Geoff) Kilfoyle, great granddaughter Rosalie Delphine Kilfoyle and great grandson Forester Jameson Kilfoyle, sisters Wendy Newman and Brenda (Dave) Ruff, nieces Corrine Walker, Leah Newman and Shaundra Ruff.
The family would like to thank the doctors and nursing staff at Health Sciences Centre for their care and compassion during her short stay in hospital.
