Obituary of JODI LYNN FAWCETT

Jodi Lynn Fawcett

June 11, 1972 – May 30, 2022

Our hearts are heavy and sadden by the unexpected passing of our amazing mom, wonderful daughter and compassionate sister.

Jodi passed away on May 30, 2022 just 12 days before her 50th birthday.

Jodi will be lovingly remembered and always in the hearts of her children, Alexia-Lynn, Tyler-James, Tatianna and Kira; mom and dad, Lona and Bill; brother and sister-in-law, Jason and Niki as well as aunts, uncles and cousins.

The most important thing to Jodi was family. From an early age, Jodi knew she wanted to be a mother. As a single mom, without the support of their fathers, Jodi raised her four kids. She provided a loving and caring home for them to learn and grow.

Jodi enjoyed many activities over the years. As a youngster, she was proud to belong to the McConnell School of Irish Dance. She enjoyed the opportunity to perform as part of the dance group at various venues and especially at Folklorama.

As an adult, Jodi enjoyed 5 pin bowling and playing pool. Jodi did not get to go fishing very often but on one outing with her dad and grandpa Fawcett, Jodi caught two saugers on a pickerel rig at the same time (oh what excitement).

As her family grew Jodi turned to knitting baby blankets and scarves for her kids. About this time bingo became a mainstay of Jodi’s activities. Never winning big but the social aspects of a night out were more important.

Once Jodi’s kids were all in school, Jodi wanted to learn more about her family history. She asked questions of other family members about what they knew and researched ancestry records wherever she could find them. Unfortunately, Jodi’s health issues meant that she was unable to continue this research.

Farewell Jodi, you will be missed by all who love you.
