WILLIAM VIELHABER With deep sadness we announce the death of Bill on January 28, 2013 at the age of 85 years. He is survived by his wife Elsie, children, Donna (Alan), Willie (Joanne), Laura (Mike), Herb (Brenda); grandchildren, Casey, Darren, Christa, Robert, Jason, Sean, Andrew, Kristin, and Alanna. He is also missed by his sister Liz Gaerke. He was predeceased by his siblings Herbert, Hedy and Mary. William was better known to his family and friends as Dad, Opa, Bill, Billy, Willie, and The Candyman. Bill was born in Winnipeg on May 4, 1927, and lived here is whole life. He worked most of his life at Brooks Equipment and Cummins Mid – Canada. At Little Britain he continued to enjoy his German heritage. Our dad was an avid sports fan. He enjoyed working at True North (Arena), the Bombers and Larters for entertainment. Bill was a people person and connected with people always with a smile, candy and hand shake. Thank you to Joanne and Mervyn as well as other neighbours in the Glenelm area. Please join us in celebrating Bill’s life on Thursday, January 31, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. In lieu of flowers, please honour our father with a donation to either the Children’s Rehabilitation Foundation or the Winnipeg Humane Society.
