JANINA GUSZKIEWICZ

It is with the heaviest of hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Mother, Grandmother and Great grandmother, Janina Guszkiewicz. She passed away peacefully on Wednesday May 4, 2022, at the age 91, two months short of her 92 birthday. Janina came to Canada in 1992 from Kroscienko (Poland), a place always missed by her. She spent her days with her family doing what she loved most- gardening, reading and creating memories with those close to her. She, Babcia, poured her heart into her grandchildren and great- grandchildren every moment she got and her memory will forever live on in them.

May her gentle spirit Rest In Peace.

Left to cherish her memory is daughter Zofia Bodek, son-in-law Julian Bodek, sister Stanislawa Kozub, grandson Daniel Guszkiewicz and great- grandchildren Alexia, Julian and Leah Bodek with their mother Valerie Bodek. Also family and friends across Canada, Poland and USA.

Janina was predeceased by her husband Stanislaw, sons Kazimierz and Stanislaw Guszkiewicz, grandson Luke Bodek, as well as her sister and four brothers.

Our family would like to thank the staff at Health Science Centre for the care and comfort they provided to our mother.

In lieu of flowers, for those who wish to express sympathy, the family asks that a donation be made to a charity of your choosing.

Prayers for our beloved Janina will be held on Tuesday May 17, 2022 at 7:00 pm, at Cropo Funeral Chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday May 18, 2022 at 10:00, at Holy Ghost Church.
