Obituary of VICTORIA PIOTROWSKI

VICTORIA PIOTROWSKI (WNUK)

June 20, 1928 – April 16, 1922

It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved Mother, Granny & Great Granny on April 16, 2022 at the age of 93 at Holy Family Home.

Mom leaves to mourn her children: Patsy Atkins (Rob), Stan Piotrowski (Carol), Wanda Phillips, her 8 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren who she loved dearly, along with numerous nieces and nephews and extended family and friends.

Mom was predeceased by her Parents Peter and Maria Wnuk; Sisters Martha Dolynchuk, Frances Jegier, Julia Nawankiewicz; Brothers Joe Wnuk and Anton Wnuk.

Mom was born in Tolstoi, Manitoba and attended Bradley School. In later years she met Stanley, they married and settled in their home on College Avenue where she held so many family gatherings over the years. She took great pride in her home and raising her family and always ensured that everyone was well fed. Mom worked for Ann’s Perogy Palace for 20 years where she retired at the age of 65. Although she retired, she made sure that our freezers were never empty of perogies or other treats. Mom was a member of the St. John Cantius Church where she walked to faithfully every Sunday for years. She enjoyed playing cards, bingo, baking, gardening, puzzles and knitting.

Prayers will be held at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street, on April 25, 2022 at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on April 26, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at St. John Cantius Church, 846 Burrows Avenue. Interment to follow at Holy Ghost Roman Catholic Cemetery 4387 Main Street.

The family would like to thank the staff at Holy Family Home for their care and compassion during her final weeks. A special thank you to Agnes, whom Mom, in her short time there really took a liking to.

A special thank you to grandchildren Ashley and Erin Parker for all their love, help and support especially during the last few months.

Pallbearers are Grandchildren Erin Parker, Jaret Phillips; Nephew/Godsons Felix Nawankiewicz, Gary Dolynchuk; Great Nephew Dustin Ducharme and Son-In-Law Rob Atkins.
