Tilman felt like a dad to me. He raised me as a daughter and loved and cared for me as his own. I will never stop missing our arguments, our grocery runs and our drives.

Tillman was a good friend who will be sorely missed though I very much doubt he will miss the earthly body that gave him such a trial at the end. I knew this day was coming but Tilly's moving on to that better place still had an unwelcome smack to it and that impact is making its presence known now. Nevertheless, the kindness that Tilly showed to others, on countless occasions, should not be forgotten by all those who's life he touched down through the years and it is with such a positive recognition that I pray for Tillman Goetting's place in God's Heavenly Kingdom.

I met Tilman when we worked together many years ago for the U of M BookStore. Tilman was a security guard and also the buyer for the classical record department!! He was a classic guy! When I remember Tilman, I am grateful to have known him and his memory always brings a smile to my heart . Deepest Sympathy to Jan and his enormously caring family and friends. We were so sorry to hear about Tillman. He always had a smile on his face, and a positive attitude. We’re glad to have had the pleasure of knowing him. I’ll miss his friendly greeting whenever he drove by , and saw me on the street.
