ZOFIA MIS

It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of our cherished mother Zofia who, after a brief illness, passed away peacefully on March 19th, 2022 at the Saint Boniface Hospital at the age of 93 years.  The family would like to thank all the staff at St. Boniface Hospital for their kind and compassionate care of our mother in her final days.

Mom lived a long and full life having emigrated from Poland in the 1960’s.

She leaves to mourn her passing, her sons Andrew, Joseph and John, as well as her daughter-in-law, Sharon. She also leaves behind her sisters Stanisława, Stefania, Maria and brother Józef who all live in Poland along with numerous nieces and nephews. She will be missed by her niece Krystyna and her family who also live in Winnipeg. Zofia was predeceased by her husband Alfred who died in 2006.  She is also predeceased by her parents Leona and Józef, her sisters Anna, Aleksandra and Barbara and her brothers Antoni and Jan.

A private funeral was held today at Holy Ghost Church and mom’s body was interred at Holy Ghost Cemetery.

The family would also like to thank the staff at Cropo Funeral Home for their kindness, compassion and assistance during this difficult time.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Zofia's memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
