Obituary of AIRES DA CUNHA
AIRES DA CUNHA
Peacefully, surrounded by his family, Aires passed away on January 17, 2013 at the age of 77 years.
Aires is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Aldina; daughters Graça (Antonino), Anabela (Henri) and Lucy (Luis); son John (Yvette); grandchildren Robert, Christopher, Sean, Matthew, Jennifer, Dillon and Meagan; brothers João and Antonio and sister Maria Evelina.
Dad was a very pleasant man. He loved life and his greatest joy in life was his family, especially his grandchildren. Dad endured a lot in life but it was his strong faith in God that kept him strong.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Seven Oaks Dialysis Unit, Fred Douglas Lodge and Seven Oaks 3rd Floor, Unit 5.
Prayers will be said on Monday, January 21 at 8:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, January 22 at 10:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, 181 Austin St. N. Interment to follow in Assumption Cemetery, 3990 Portage Avenue West.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Aires memory to the Kidney Foundation of Canada or Fred Douglas Lodge.
