Obituary of WALTRAUD ANNEMARIE BOETTCHER

WALTRAUD ANNEMARIE BOETTCHER

June 19, 1930 – January 29, 2022

Anne emigrated to Canada in 1955 with her young son Manfred, settling in Winnipeg with her husband Arthur (deceased in 2011).

Anne was the most gentle and kindest person who had a heart of gold, never having a bad word to say about anyone.  She was loved by all who met her.  Mom was a dedicated mother, totally focused on keeping the family running smoothly, especially her two sons Manfred and Michael whom she loved dearly.

Anne worked as a retail sales clerk in the housewares department at the downtown Hudson’s Bay store for 22 years.  She had numerous customer commendations and customer service awards.  In retirement years, she especially enjoyed spending time with her sister Gerda, going for coffee at Zellers Kildonan Place and downtown coffee shops.

Left behind to celebrate Mom’s life are son Manfred, son Michael and daughter-in-law Brenda, sister Gerda Hamilton, niece and nephews and grandchildren on both sides of the family.  Also surviving are two great-grandchildren.

Thank you to the numerous healthcare staff at the various hospitals mom was forced to attend.  A special thank you to all the staff at mom’s last home - Fred Douglas Lodge - for her care this past year.

No Funeral service at mom’s request.  Cremation has taken place.

“Time just gets away from us.”

“Too much time wasted.”

So long for now.  Some day we will all be together again.

Love you Mom  XOXOX
