Obituary of THADDEUS (TED) JOSEPH KERNOSKI

Thaddeus (Ted) Kernoski

Ted passed away peacefully at St. Boniface hospital on January 23, 2022 at the age of 83.

Ted was predeceased by his parents, Joe and Emilie.  He is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Betty; his son, Paul (Lillian); and many family and friends.

Ted was born in Winnipeg.  He attended St. Paul’s College and operated J.K. Grocery in East Kildonan with his family for 43 years. 

Ted was an avid square dancer and caller, calling at many dances and conventions throughout Canada and the United States.  He was also a 45 year Blue Bombers season ticket holder and attended 35 Grey Cups in those years.  Ted loved sports.  He was active in hockey, football, and was also a baseball umpire and clinician.

Cremation has taken place.  Due to Covid-19, a celebration of his life will take place at a later date.
