Obituary of STANISŁAW BARUCH
STANISŁAW BARUCH
Stanisław Baruch peacefully passed away in the early morning hours of Thursday, January 20th, 2022 after a long life full of love.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Maria, of 54 years and daughter, Teresa (Fekri), as well as, his grandchildren, Kamillah, Abraham, Hannah, and Adam. In Winnipeg, also mourning this loss, are his brother-in-law Franciszek (Halina), their children, Anna (Rob), Monica (Michał) and their children, Karina and Julia. In Poland, there are many extended family members who will miss him. He is predeceased by his parents and siblings.
Born in Katary, Poland on August 2nd, 1934, Stanisław was the youngest of six children. Before immigrating to Canada, he lived in his family home and worked for the Polish National Railway. Stanisław came to Winnipeg on March 4th, 1971 with his wife and daughter. On arrival, his family became members of Holy Ghost Parish and he began working at Motor Coach Industries Ltd. until his retirement in 1999. Stanisław treasured living a simple life. He loved to be around his family, especially his grandchildren, who learned many life lessons from him. One of them being the importance of generosity, a quality he was known for by family and friends.
A steady and strong presence in his household, our Mąż, Tata, Dziadziu, Wujek, Wujek-Dziadziu will be greatly missed.
Thank you to Boundary Trails Health Centre for their care and compassion during the last days of his life.
The Rosary will be prayed on January 25th, 2022 at 9:30am, and the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00am in Holy Ghost Parish. Interment will follow in Holy Ghost Roman Catholic Cemetery.
