Obituary of FILIPPO CRUPI
It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that our family announces the passing of our husband, father and grandfather Filippo Crupi on Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at the Riverview Health Centre, at the age of 81 years after his battle with cancer.
Filippo was predeceased by his parents Giovanni and Gaetana.
He will be deeply missed by his loving wife Maria of 55 years, his son Giovanni, daughter-in-law Lorna and his 2 grandchildren Phillip and Sara, who he adored very much. Filippo also leaves behind his sister Giuseppina, brother Salvatore and nephews, nieces and relatives in Belgium.
Filippo was born on August 29, 1940 in Enna, Sicily. He left his entire family as a young man and came to Winnipeg in the spring of 1966 to marry his love Maria Cammarata. They married on September 10, 1966 and together they started a new life and family. Filippo worked 36 years as a welder for Allied Farm Equipment and Buhler. He was a quiet man who provided for his family and enjoyed the simple things in life. He was a proud man who loved his children and always made sure they were well cared for in the present and in the future. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, January 27 at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Rosary Church, 510 River Avenue, with viewing and Rosary to start at 10:00 a.m..
