Obituary of GORDON LAING

GORDON LAING On January 3, 2013 at Seven Oaks Hospital, Gordon Laing passed away at the age of 90 years. Gordon is survived by his loving wife Nellie; 2 daughters Pat (Roy) of Edmonton, AB and Carol (Brian) of Winnipeg, MB; 2 sons George (Fran) of Wellington, Florida and Joe (Jan) of Winnipeg, MB; 11 grandchildren Bradley (Victoria), Ryan (Kim), Sara, Jonathon, Jason (Katrina), Jennifer (Greg), Elisha (Michael), Trevor (Debra), Steven, Veronica (Marcin) and Michael (Tracey); many loving great grandchildren, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his grandson Justin; mother-in-law Amy Whitney and father-in-law Joseph Whitney. Gordon was a WWII Veteran serving overseas. He worked for 25 years at Winnipeg Supply. He then drove a private truck for many years after. Gordon enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and cats. He also enjoyed many outings to various casinos. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, January 14 at 10:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street with Lee Barringer officiating. Donations may be made in Gordon’s memory to a charity of your choice.
