Obituary of CAROL LYNNE GREY
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Carol Lynne Grey on December 9, 2021. Our mom has now been reunited with our Dad in heaven. Carol is survived by her two children Kristin (Mike) and Mike (Olivia), her grandchildren Maya and Ari, her brothers Donny, Jim (Lori) as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Carol was born to Sophie and Kenneth Browne and grew up in North Kildonan alongside her two brothers and one sister. She graduated from River East Collegiate in 1976. After graduation, Carol went to U of M to become a nurse. She did not finish this program as she found the death of patients to be too emotional for her. Carol later became an insurance broker. She advanced her education in numerous CAIB courses as well as even teaching after she had completed her accreditation.
Carol had a very strong personality and no one ever had to wonder what she was thinking. Carol was willing to help anyone that needed help and always had an open door to family and friends. Carol’s joy in life were her two children, two grandchildren and her dogs. She loved being able to help them in any way.
In 1995, Carol was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. Despite this struggle, Carol was always able to look at the positive side of things. Unfortunately, after almost 26 years battling this disease and complications, she ended up losing the fight. Carol’s body is now free and she’s dancing with our dad and the angels in Heaven.
We would like to thank all of the doctors, nurses and health care aids that helped our mom throughout her fight. She will dearly miss all of you at Action Marguerite and the care and love that you provided to her.
We will be hosting a memorial to celebrate the life of Carol at Cropo Funeral Home in Transcona (1800 Day Street) on Wednesday December 22, 2021 at 1:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society to help honour her love of dogs.
All are welcome at the Celebration of Life, but must be fully vaxxed as per Manitoba Health orders.
