Obituary of MARGARET FASO

Margaret Faso

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Margaret Faso on October 27, 2021 at Calvary Personnel Care Home at the age of 93.

Margaret was born on May 28, 1928 to Tony and Josephine Faso and was one of 12 children. She being the youngest of 5 girls. She grew up in Weston on Logan Ave. and Keewatin, where her family owned and operated a store and small restaurant. Being part of a large family, there were many celebrations, picnics, and card games.

In her middle years, she enjoyed bowling and knitting. She attended the Community Ventures Program for several years. She travelled to California to visit two of her brothers and families and also to Hawaii with friends.

She was a feisty individual, who liked to laugh and have fun and had a good sense of humour. She also liked to sing and would break out into song as the mood struck.

She became a resident of Calvary Personnel Care Home March 12, 2001. She was one of the original residents. From day one, she took it upon herself to rename many of the staff, and those names stuck until her passing. At Calvary, she participated in all activities, church services, and the outings when able. She looked forward to her "special" luncheons with family members Tom, Jo-Anne, Bernice and Terry. She enjoyed celebrating all the traditional Holidays and Birthdays with Family, extended Family and Friends. She was a people person.

Thank you to all the staff at Calvary Place for providing love, compassion and comfort to Margaret. Calvary was her home and her Family.

She is survived by many nieces and nephews and their families.

Cremation has taken place. A Family graveside service will be held on Wednesday November 10 at 11:00 at Assumption Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, we graciously ask that donations be made to a charity of choice.

She could bring a smile to your face.
