EMELIA PARASHIN

Obituary of EMELIA PARASHIN

Emelia Parashin, fondly known as ‘Millie’, passed away peacefully with loving family by her side on October 21, 2021 short weeks before her 100th birthday. Millie is now reunited in heaven with husband Paul, parents, Thomas and Mary, sisters, Julia, Rosemary, Ollie and Mary, daughter-in-law, Carol, and son-in-law, Don.  Millie was a loving mother to her children Robert and Kathy, and a wonderful granny to her granddaughters, Alana (Ryan), Lorna, and Sara (Brett). Millie was also blessed with four great grandchildren Scarlett, Marek, Juliet, and Mayla whom she visited often. Millie was dear to her sister Virginia and nieces Alice and Sandee, among many other family and friends. She was such a light, and brought so much joy to all.

Millie was everything special: kind, loving, caring, supportive, smart, sweet, strong, and amazing in so many ways. Millie lived a full life, always learning new things as she kept up with the times. She spent many years as a legal secretary and office manager steering the family business. Throughout her life Millie loved to cook for her family and was an excellent seamstress. Her classy style matched her classy personality. She enjoyed time gardening, on the golf course, at the curling rink and playing a good game of chess.  She loved classical music and took great pleasure in listening to her grand and great-grand-children play the piano at family gatherings. Although she has passed, our memories of her will stay warm in our hearts forever. We know her kind soul will shine down from heaven. We love you Granny. OXOX
