Obituary of DARREN MICHAEL JACKSON
It is with broken hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Darren Michael Jackson at HSC on October 14, 2021, at the age of 53.
Darren was born in Winnipeg, Mb, on July 19, 1968.
Darren will be forever remembered by his wife Tammy; his children Christina (Thomas), Anthony (Brittany), Adam, Karlee, Joshua, and Julie; his sisters: Carol (Gord), Ashley (Phillip); and brother George; his sisters-in-law: Sherry (Eric), Amanda (Kyle); his grandchildren Makayla, Koby, Riley, and Alexis; his in-laws Christine and Michael Bell, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Darren is predeceased by his mother Gwen, father George, and sister-in-law Shauna.
Darren loved spending time with his family and friends, as well as spending time on his hobbies. Darren loved his animals, especially his cat, Dusty. He was one of the few people who enjoyed what he did for a living, whether it was hauling scrap or driving his tow truck. Darren had a heart of gold, and would go out on cold winter days to help drivers who had accidentally rolled into the ditch, helping them get back on the road safely. He was kind to everyone, and wouldn't turn away those in need. One of Darren's greatest joys was building demo cars with his family, and driving in demolition derby's. Darren also loved fishing, regardless of the season, whether at the docks in Selkirk or while relaxing at the lake. When the shuffleboard league began each year, Darren could often be found at the club, playing shuffleboard with his wife and friends.
Darren will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
A service will be held at Cropo Funeral Chapel, located at 1442 Main St, Winnipeg, MB. The service will take place at 2:00 PM, October 30, 2021. Vaccination cards and ID will be required to enter.
