ANDRE ROBERT LANCTOT

1/30/1966 -7/2/2021

It is with profound sadness that we must announce the passing of Andre Robert Lanctot on July 2, at the Riverview health centre.

Andy was survived by his daughter Danielle, his mother Armande Dube, his siblings Armand, Tanya (Cody, Kayla) and Rene. Also, his step children Michael (Monique, Jeanine, Chantelle, Michael) & Mandy (Brooklyn, Brianna, Brittany) and his (separated) wife Gail.

Andre was known as a loving devoted father whose dedication to his daughter knew no bounds.

He was also a loving brother, son and friend.

His willingness to help and his abilities as a ‘Jack of all trades’ made him a much sought-after contractor. His intelligence and mechanical ability meant that he could fix or figure out just about anything.

Andre (known as Andy to those who were close to him) made a huge impact on a lot of people's lives. He had the best sense of humor, the most contagious laugh and a smile that will be forever imprinted in everyone’s heart.

He was the kind of man that everyone wanted to be around and loved.

Andy was definitely a ladies' man and always had a certain charm.

A very honorable man, if anyone needed anything, Andy was always right there to help out, or save someone from that situation, without there ever being any judgement.

He was a strong man and fought the battle of his life. He never gave up!

He will be gone but never forgotten, and he will always live in our hearts, every time we smile or laugh when we think about those good times.

We will miss him but he wouldn’t want us to be sad. Rather, he would want us to be happy with our fondest memories of our time with him.

We would also like to send Sincere thanks to the staff in the palliative care ward at Riverview. Particularly Gerri and Carol. These people have dedicated their lives to taking care of very sick people and making them comfortable.

Andre was continually commenting on how wonderful a place he had the good fortune of spending the last days of his life in.

A celebration of life will be held at date and time to yet be determined.

In lieu of flowers or cards, please consider donating to the “never alone foundation”, which made navigating his way through all this so much easier.
