Obituary of DIANE GRIMSTEAD

DIANE MARILYN GRIMSTEAD (NEE SLOBODIAN) APRIL 16, 1956 - DECEMBER 15, 2012 After a short and courageous battle with cancer, it is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Diane Grimstead, aged 56, on Saturday, December 15, 2012 at Seven Oaks Hospital. Diane leaves to mourn her loving husband and soulmate Jim Grimstead, son James, daughters Jenna (Rigor) and Jillian, grandchildren Aiden and Arianna Sofronio, mother-in-law Violet Grimstead, sister Annette Gregorski, sisters-in-law Valerie McPherson (Scott), Debra Montsion (Rick), nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by parents Steve and Steffie Slobodian, father-in-law Walter Grimstead and brother-in-law Clifford Gregorski. Diane and Jim met as teenagers and were married 30 of the 42 years together. Diane was a lifelong homemaker whose most enjoyable times were spent with family at the cottage in Whytewold beach. We love you and will miss you. Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 5, 2013 at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St, Winnipeg.
