Obituary of RONALD BRUNN
RONALD FRANK BRUNN
MAY 29, 1936 – DECEMBER 20, 2012
It is time to say goodbye, with great sadness, to our dear brother and uncle, Ronald Frank Brunn, who passed away on Thursday, December 20, 2012 at Middlechurch Home.
Ron is survived by his sister, Evelyn (Maurice) Proceviat; his nephew, Derek (Susan) Nelson; his niece, Kim (Guy) Comeault; his great-nephews, Paul (Christina) Nelson, Mason Comeault and his great-niece, Sara Nelson. He was predeceased by his wife Eugenia and his parents Frank and Bertha Brunn.
Ron was born in Winnipeg in 1936. He was employed with the Winnipeg School Division #1 for 30 years, retiring in 1996 as Foreman of the Painting and Glazing crews.
Ron enjoyed curling, golfing, fishing and watching hockey and football. He was a Winnipeg Blue Bomber season ticket holder, even attending games in his scooter. He enjoyed many summers at his Grand Beach cottage and for 11 years spent a month in Mexico with his wife. Ron was also a member of the Grand Lodge of Manitoba Masons.
In 2007, his wife passed away and Ron spent the final 6 years of his life in Middlechurch Home after suffering a debilitating stroke. The family would like to thanks Middlechurch Home staff for their care and kindness during Ron’s stay.
A private family funeral has already taken place. If friends so desire, donations may be made to a charity of their choice.
"Rest in peace, Ron. We will miss you."
A Memorial Tree was planted for RONALD
