Obituary of JARED (JJ) TAVENER
JARED (JJ) TAVENER
With heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of Jared Tavener on December 19, 2012 known to his family and friends as JJ. Jared was born on November 29, 1987 at the St. Boniface Hospital.
Jared leaves to cherish his memory his mother Luana (nee Goolcharan) and sister Linnea (Scott), grandfathers Harry Goolcharan, Don Johnson, Uncles David, Dale, Dexter, Dion, aunts Debbie, Zee (Aaron) and numerous cousins that he was extremely close too.
JJ was predeceased by grandmothers Myrna Goolcharan, Peggy Johnson and Roy and Dorothy Tavener. JJ will be forever missed by his family and numerous friends in Winnipeg, Trinidad, Calgary, England, Abu Dhabi, Burlington, NY and Florida.
JJ was good natured, giving, generous person who would always give a helping hand to anyone who asked. He was a little comedian, loved to laugh and could make an entire room smile. He was proud but humble about sponsoring 2 children from World Vision. He always saw the good in everyone and never passed judgment. He was a very hard worker but enjoyed most being with family and friends, sitting around a campfire and spending time in the outdoors. Jared was a loyal employee; he worked in the service industry at Burger King for 3 years while attending school. From 2008 to present he worked at the River Park Husky and was known to all as the friendly face who always made you feel welcome.
A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, December 30 at 1:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to a charity of your choice.
