Obituary of ROLAND LOUIS GINGRAS
Roland (Rolly) Gingras
January 9th, 1946 – April 20th, 2021
It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beloved Husband, Dad, Grandpa and Great Grandpa. Roland passed peacefully and without fear with his wife and children at his side.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife Sharon of 54 years. Daughters Michelle (Rick), Danielle (Jason) and son Jason. Brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews and all his wonderful grandchildren and great grandchildren, all of which he had a special love and bond with. He cherished them with his whole heart. Never missing birthdays, sporting events and family gatherings. Family was always his number one priority.
Dad enjoyed his time and daily walks with his beloved cat Macy.
Dad was a very hard worker, skilled at many trades. His best job was being Dad and Grandpa. Dad started out with the Canadian Navy and had the opportunity to travel the world. He loved telling the stories of his adventures. He later became a Roofer, Carpenter and Handyman. He was passionate about building, his love for classic vehicles, playing music on his guitar and his morning cross word puzzles. He was always learning something new.
Dad’s door was always open. His generous nature welcomed everyone with kindness. Always willing to give a helping hand, he would give the shirt off his back. Dad never judged, very supportive and inspired us to be our best, even if it came in the form of a lecture.
Your life will be celebrated, your memory will live on in all of us. Thanks for being our dad, our superhero.
Many thanks to the caring ICU staff at Grace Hospital.
