Obituary of TERESA DONAGHY
TREA DONAGHY
It is with deepest sorrow that we announce the peaceful passing of Teresa (Trea) Donaghy on March 29, 2021 at the age of 80 after a 20-year battle with Alzheimer’s.
She will be dearly missed by her beloved husband Phonsie of 58 years, children Paul (Mona), Jacqueline (Dave), Lynn (Rob), grandchildren Melanie, Danielle, Taryk, Jim, Kaitlyn, Erin, Niall, Owen, great-grandchildren, Landen, Emelia, sisters Joan (Fred), Dorothy, Anna (Brian); many nieces and nephews, cousin Mena; dear friend Evelyn and extended family. Trea was predeceased by her granny Mary Anne, mother Elizabeth Mary, uncle Joe, brother Jimmy, sister Mary, and adopted Irish-Canadian family Pauline and Jack.
In November 1972 Trea, along with her husband and 3 children moved from Northern Ireland to Winnipeg to start a new life. She spent many years at home raising her kids and later worked at Boeing Canada and BeeMaid Honey.
Trea was kind, soft spoken, humble and caring. She was always willing to care for and love others whether it was her grandchildren or an injured house sparrow. Trea will be forever missed, never forgotten, and always loved by all who knew her.
We would like to extend our thanks to the staff at the Middlechurch Home for their 10 years of care.
A private family mass will be held at St. Anthony of Padua Parish, 250 Burrin Avenue on Monday, April 5, 2021 at 11:00 am with burial to follow at Glen Eden Memorial Gardens by invitation only due to Covid-19 restrictions.
