Obituary of IRENE GLADYS YOUNG

Irene Gladys Young 

It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Irene “Shoo Shoo” young born in Duck Bay, Manitoba, later moved to Winnipeg where she met the love of her life Philbert who she was married to for 47 years.

Irene was a beautiful, strong and amazing woman, wife mother, sister, cousin, daughter, aunt, grandma, great-grandma, godmother and friend.  She loved her children grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sibling’s family and friends with all her heart. 

She grew up in Duck Bay, Manitoba with her loving parents Mary and Joe Pangman and her 3 siblings Lina, Doreen and Willie.

She loved and enjoyed the closeness of her family.  They did many wonderful things together such as taking walks with Philbert, going to bingo or playing Kinsmen TV bingo, and having BBQ’s with the family.

Irene enjoyed the holidays especially Christmas and New Years.  She like dancing in her heels and listening to friends on Friday.  She also enjoyed playing cards.

Irene leaves to mourn her 4 beautiful children Wayne (Marina) Todd (Ardell), Susan, Cheryl (Scott); grandchildren Daniel (Holly), Phyllis, Dylan, Garret (Kylee) Alyssa, Jessica (Curtis), Shantal (Josh), Ryan (Candance), Shane (Makayla), Felicia (Brennan) Nicolas, Madison & Jace; great-grandchildren Elora, Addison, Emilia, Jubilee & Bexley; God-mother to Elizabeth and Felicia; close cousins Florence and Myrtle Watson, Gerald Campbell & Berth Genaille along with many others.

Her brothers Willie (Nicole), Kenny (Cathy) Melvin (Tammy), Ricky, brother-in-law Russell, her sisters Doreen, Judy (Alvin) and Karen.

Irene was predeceased by her parents Mary Pangman “Mary Tiger” and Joseph “Tiger” Pangman, sister Lina and brother Larry.

Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, February 27 at 1:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street.

Irene will always be loved and cherished and will remain in our hearts forever.
