BERTIE OLIVER
Peacefully on Monday, February 15, 2021, Bert slipped away to be reunited with his sweetheart.
He leaves to celebrate his life, his sister Lillian McDougall (Tom); his children Kathy Pearson (Terry), Marcel Oliver (Donna), and Tracy Rondelez (Marty); grandchildren, Amanda Johnson (Trevor), Brent Pearson (Celine), Terry Oliver (Shannon), Matthew Oliver (Erin), Peter Oliver (Justine), Michael Oliver (Rebecca) and Nicole Rondelez; great-grandchildren Colton and Hailey; Kory, Brinley and Rosalie; Bradley, Madyson, Kaden, Alyssa, and Ryan; Gemma and Bennett.
Bert was born Dec 15th, 1929 in Winnipeg, and met Theresa Page in 1948. They married September 16, 1950, and together raised their family. Bert worked at Pritchard Engineering for 48 years, until he retired at age 65.
The family would like to thank the doctors and staff at Calvary Place Personal Care Home, for their love, care and support over the last two years.
Due to current restrictions, graveside ceremony will be held at Brookside Cemetery on Monday, February 22nd at 1 pm; meet at the main office and from there we will be guided to burial site.
Celebration of life to be scheduled at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bert’s memory to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson Research / Calvary Place Personal Care Home (for iPads, visiting rooms) / Cancer Care Manitoba.
