My sincerest condolences to the Kushka family! Brian, Chris, Mary, Rylan and Stefan. I am so proud and humbled to call Walter Kushka my uncle! He was a kind, gentle loving man. He passed on all of his best qualities to his two sons! Life took me away from Winnipeg over the last few decades but I am so grateful to have reconnected in the last few years and share old memories, while making cherished new ones! As one of my relatives recently said, the measure of a person is the indelible memories they leave with others!
The world is a better place with people like the Kushka’s! You lived a life worth living!
Rest in peace uncle Walter ❤️
Love Sandra Omar, Zayn,Shaan and Aaron.

Thank you Sandra, Omar, Zayn, Shaan and Aaron!
Dad lenjoyed speaking with Omar. He was glad to meet your boys. Your mother, our Auntie Violet, was like our dad. They had the same beginnings. I miss her and her laugh. She also raised five amazing children. Love that we reconnected. Social media helps with the distance between us. This reconnection actually started in 1997. Remember sitting in my apartment on Leila and us emailing each other.

My sincere condolences to the Kushka family in connection with the death of the dear family member - dear father, Voltaire, or Bishop, as he was called in Ukraine. For us, distant Ukrainian relatives, he was an unforgettable person, he was always interested in our affairs and helped us in various ways in our lives.
Voltaire was the husband of my cousin Susan - Zenya - but he was like a brother to me. I will always remember his gentle smile, smiling eyes, and sincere conversation. He will forever remain in my memory. It seems to me that I still hear his address me as, "Nusyu", and I do not want to believe that I will never hear his voice again and that I will not see his smile. Kingdom of Heaven to You, our dear Lord. Eternal Memory.
Anna Kaskun, village Korolivka, Ternopil region, Ukraine.

Dear family, our sincerest sympathies on the death of your father. It is also our pain and our sorrow. Your dad was a wonderful person. We remember when both your dad and mom were with us in the Ukraine and then later when we were with you in Canada. We often think about those times with them. We saw and learnt a lot about Canada.
Your father was intelligent, tolerant, caring and compassionate. He had a big loving heart and was a real gentleman. We will always be grateful to him for his care and help. He will always be in our prayers.
Eternal Memory!
Sofia and Stefan, Zhovkva, Ukraine
