Obituary of MARY SVEINSON

MARY LOUISE SVEINSON (NEE BEAUDRY) APRIL 1, 1948 – DECEMBER 13, 2012 Mary passed from this life to a divine life with our lord and his angels with great courage, faith and dignity after her battle with cancer. She leaves behind her loving husband Glenn, her pride and joy daughter Leann and her special little friends Max and Mistyann. She also leaves sister Linda (Doug), brothers, Glenn, Brian (Val), and Larry. Mary was also blessed to be loved by many family and friends and will be missed by all. Mary was predeceased by her grandparents William and Annie Beaudry, her mother Evelyn and stepfather Gibby Marmonier. Mary was born in Ashern, MB and was raised by her grandparents. She met the love of her life Glenn in 1964. They both left the area and moved to Winnipeg in 1966. Mary and Glenn were married on June 5, 1971. On February 24, 1973 she gave birth to the most precious gift God can give you, a little daughter Leann. She later worked for MTS and Winnipeg School Division #1. Mary enjoyed camping at Lilac, traveling, crafts and the building of their cabin at Winnipeg Beach. She loved her work with the special needs children and this is where she drew her strength and courage from in her battle with cancer. A special thanks to Lynn and Frank Dick for their love and strong support when we stayed with them while Mary underwent surgery and treatment in Calgary. Thanks to all the staff members of the many hospitals that cared for Mary. Special thanks to the Spiritualist Church of Divine Guidance and its members who all helped Mary to reunite with her faith and strength in God. Our deepest and most sincere thanks go to the doctors and nurses of St. Boniface Palliative Care Unit. You were Mary’s special angels and we love you all. Special thanks to all our friends and family for all their support and love during this difficult time. Memorial Service will take place on Saturday, December 22, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street, officiated by Joanne Taronno. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Boniface Palliative Care or Cancer Care Manitoba.
