Obituary of JENNY-LYNN KUCHTA

JENNY-LYNN KUCHTA

Suddenly on December 19, 2020, age 60.

Jenny was predeceased by her mother Denyse in 1992 and her father Raymond in 1999. She leaves behind a heartbroken best friend and sister Janet; childhood friends-for-life Brenda Bilous (nieces Natasha and Jessica Kuchta; nephew Christiaan Kuchta [Katie] and great-nephew and great-niece, Owen and Natalie) and Brenda Boughton(Lloyd Peterson); and brother Jeff (Tilly and nephew John). She will be especially missed by her "unofficial son," Michael Cahill and his father Barrie. She also leaves numerous cousins in Winnipeg and B.C.

Jenny possessed a strong intellectual and artistic curiosity. Among her talents was photography; with her keen eye she captured beautiful images of nature and people in her life.

She loved anything flora and fauna, and was a member of Assiniboine Park, Nature Manitoba and Fort Whyte Alive. Present her with a plant and she could tell you the name and family.

Unfortunately, due to declining health she could no longer go on her beloved nature hikes.

The only summer she missed going to Lake Winnipeg (Grand Marais and area) was the year she was born(1960 and it being July). She was a life-long birder and would sit for hours feeding and appreciating them.

She loved her music. Over the years she sang in various choirs and had a gift for singing harmony. She also played in a variety of instrumental groups. She was proficient (or semi-proficient) on the recorder, clarinet, mandolin, guitar, and keyboard.

Jenny retired in 2015 after more than 30 years with the Canada Revenue Agency. She will miss her retiree klatsch of Ann D., Merrill D. and Heni H.

Her rescue cats meant the world to her. If you wish to make a donation, she would have appreciated support for Siamese Rescue Winnipeg (38 Barberry Rd, Wpg., MB, R2J 2G9) or any organization supporting the welfare of animals.

A private celebration of life will be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to Cropo Funeral Chapel.
