Obituary of PAOLO COSTANZO
PAOLO COSTANZO
It is with deepest sorrow that we, the family of Paolo Costanzo announce his unexpected passing on Dec. 10, 2020. He was 83 years old.
On April 2nd 1937 our father was born in Ali, Messina, Sicily, Italy to his father Salvatore Costanzo and mother Maria D'Ali, both predeceased. He was the youngest of four siblings, Nino, Antonia, and Carmelo.
In 1962, after spending time in the army he left Italy to join his brothers, Nino and Carmelo and arrived in Canada in search of opportunity and a new life. Our mother Joined him in 1963 and there began our family in Winnipeg.
Our father was predeceased by his wife Paola, his sister Antonia, his brother's Nino, Carmelo, brothers-in-law Alessio Riggio, Stefano Brancato, William Sokolewsky, sister-in-law Angela Brancato, niece Maria Riggio and great niece Francesca Lao.
He is survived by his children; Maria, Agata, Caterina, Salvatore, Giusepina. Grandchildren Kaylahna and Connar Fialka; Randy and Micheal Zabinski; sisters-in-law Cecilia Costanzo, Paolina Costanzo, Maria Sokolewsky and
Concetta Brancato; brothers-in-law Tony and Carmelo Brancato; nieces Carmela (Corrado) Lao and Maria Costanzo nephews Francesco, Nicola and Roberto Riggio, Salvatore J Costanzo, Salvatore Costanzo, Robert ,Christopher,
Gregory and Edward Sokolewsky and great nephew Corrado Lao.
Services will be held at Cropo Funeral Chapel 1442 Main St. on Saturday December 19th 2020 at 11:00am. Entombment will follow at Waverly Memorial Gardens 1501 Waverly St at 12:00pm.
Services will be live-streamed and available online via the Cropo website.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to The Canadian Diabetes Association.
