Obituary of FREDERICK LARRY HREHIRCHUK

FREDERICK LARRY HREHIRCHUK July 25, 1935 - November 12, 2020 It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our dad, grandfather and brother, Larry Hrehirchuk. Larry was predeceased by his wife Aileen, his grandson Adam, and most recently his brother Howard. Larry is survived by his loving children, Fred (Leslie), Randy (Juana), Karen (Joe); his grandchildren, Jenna (Kyle), Nick, Blake, Matt, Tyler, and his two great-grandchildren, Jordyn and Lucas. He is also survived by his siblings, Isabel, Jack (Gail), Stan (Charlotte), and sister-in-law Lorraine. Larry grew up on the family farm in Grandview, Manitoba. Larry was a long-term CN employee with many friends whom he still remained in contact with throughout his retirement years. Mom and Dad were married for 59 years. One of dad's greatest passions was flying, family trips to Dauphin, and many out of country flights with lifelong friends was something Dad treasured. Dad was an avid sports fan. He was a very good hockey and baseball player and he was a well-respected coach in the community. Family was very important to our Dad. He could always be found at either a soccer field, a baseball diamond, or a hockey rink, cheering his grandchildren on "coaching from the sidelines". As the eldest sibling Larry was the big brother always looking out for his siblings. He was amazing at organizing the family tree and he loved family gatherings, especially family reunions in Dauphin. Due to Covid a family interment will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made in his memory to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
