Obituary of ANNE HIEBERT
Anne Hiebert
May 6, 1930 – November 6, 2020
Anne was the daughter of the late Peter Hiebert (late Helen)
Anne was sister to the late Chris Graham (Late Edward): the late Helen Sabadose (late Albert); the late Mary Sabadose (late Louis); Ernie Hiebert (late Diane); Alvin Hiebert (late Lottie); Grace Denhard (late Orvil); the late Norma Jadeskie (Late Ed); Walter Hiebert and Tina; Tom Hiebert and Deloris
Anne was full of life and ambition. She loved to learn and attained a grade nine education entirely by snail mail while living in Marquette. At a young age she moved to Winnipeg, where she attended night school, while working, to further her education. All this time she was improving on her love for playing the guitar and singing old country and western songs.
She joined the air force in her early 20s and was stationed in Calgary for a time. After the air force she came back to Winnipeg where she had a couple of jobs doing bookkeeping. First with the Hudson Bay Wholesale and then with Carling Okeefe Brewery. Anne retired early in order to follow another dream. She established a small viable farm near Argyle, Manitoba. When it came time to quit farming, she moved to Stonewall for a while and then to Winnipeg, where she resided for the rest of her life.
In retirement she volunteered at the air force base, Red Cross and at a food bank. Anne was an avid reader and also took up cross stitching. Her cross stitching created memories, they were beautiful works of art. These creations still adorn the wall of friends and family. As long as her creations remain and we speak of her, her memory will live on.
This is only a brief glimpse of who Anne was. She had been many places, done lots of things and now she has made her final journey. Anne has gone to be with her mother who she loved and missed very much.
We are a very large and extended family and Anne is loved by many family members and friends. Her kindness, witty humor, love of music and nature will be remembered by those that knew her.
Anne you have traveled a long and sometimes difficult journey but you have always pressed on with hope and faith. May you rest in Peace
There will be no formal service at this time. A private interment will be held at a later date.
