I work at Holy Family where Sophie lived with us for a short memorable time. Some residents you just love fast and hard, Sophie was that for me. I connected with her from day one and always made it a point to find her at the start of the shift and say hello just so I could hear that lovely sing-song voice she had. It always made me smile. She spent the first week memorizing the names of the nurses and aides and was so proud of herself when she remembered! What a sweet lady our Sophie, always patient with us if we had to say "Sophie, just give me a minute", she'd say of course, take your time. She was always thankful and said how happy she was to 'finally be at the Holy Family Home' :) She never complained and loved to be around people. Although It was sadly not long enough to have Sophie with us, for the short time we did, she will forever hold a big spot in my heart.
