Obituary of ROSALIE BLANCHE KOTOWICH

ROSALIE BLANCHE KOTOWICH (nee Moss) April 4, 1938 – November 3, 2020 It is with heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of Rosalie Kotowich on November 3, 2020 at the age of 82. Rosalie was predeceased by her husband John and her parents Helen and Bernard Moss. Left to cherish her memory are her cousin Dean (Leslie) Neiser, nephew Lucian (Karen) Lebitt. In her youth while attending Daniel Mclntyre Collegiate she was in the school choir and the operetta. She continued her appreciation of music throughout her life. In 1960 she perused nursing and graduated as an Operating Room Technician. On June 30, 1967, she married the love of her life John until his passing in 2011. They both enjoyed cooking and travelling. They would put on elaborate meals to entertain friends. Some of their recipes were published in the Winnipeg Tribune. Rosalie and John had a variety of pets. To name a few there was Peter the Rabbit, a dog named Tiger and Corwena the cat who walked in off the street and adopted them. After John’s passing Rosalie continued her passion of music, took up painting and watching football. When you came to visit her and she was wearing a Bomber jersey, you knew that her team was playing that day. Being an avid fan of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, she got to pose with the Grey Cup when she was 3 ½ years old, when she was 20 and again in 2019 when the Bombers won the grey cup. The family thanks the staff at Betel Personal Care Home Selkirk for the excellent care she received during her stay. A private service will be held at Cropo Funeral Chapel Winnipeg with interment at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens 4000 Portage Avenue. In lieu of flowers the family requests that you reach out to a shut in during these difficult times. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
