RONALD CARLSON

Obituary of RONALD CARLSON

RONALD CARLSON July 28, 1951 - October 21, 2020 It is with deep sadness that we announce Ron's passing. He is survived by his wife Vicky and his children Aaron & Alix. He will also be sadly missed by his sisters Carol, Joan, Wendy, Kim and their families. As well as his sister-in-law Linda and her family. Ron was born & raised in Teulon, Mb. He grew up on the farm and helped with everything from milking cows to combining in the fields. When he was young, his Dad took him out hunting and he was hooked. He loved to hunt and proudly took down deer, moose, elk and geese. He made the best deer sausage you could imagine. He also had a great love of horses, and drove his chariot at many rodeos and stampedes throughout Manitoba. He was even brave enough to drive in the Suicide Ben Hur in Morris. He never won the rifle, but he sure had a lot of fun trying. He could often be heard cheering at his children's many activities. Aaron's Tae Kwon Do and Alix's Ringette were two of his favorites. As was going camping with his family. Many nights were spent around the campfire having a bubbly and making smores. Ron worked at Manitoba Hydro for many years and retired in 2007. After retirement, he worked temporarily at several different jobs, until health concerns prevented him from doing so. He was also a very talented carpenter, and did all of his home renovations by himself. Thank you to the staff at St. Boniface hospital Unit 5E for their kindness and compassion during his last few days. There will be a private family service at a later date.
