Obituary of DANIEL ST. GODARD

DANIEL AURELE JOSEPH ST. GODARD It is with profound sadness, the family announces the sudden passing of Daniel St. Godard on Sunday August 16, 2020. Dan was born on November 29, 1966 to Georges and Marie (Dèquier) St Godard in Winnipeg, Manitoba. He attended St Norbert Collegiate and University of Manitoba. Dan married the love of his life Liz Potrebko, and they recently celebrated their 26th wedding anniversary. He adored and cherished his loving wife and his precious son Josh. Dan was a very proud and passionate member of the Winnipeg Police Service. He was serving as a Patrol Sargent, just completing a distinguished 25 year career. Dan loved, camping, cycling, and walks in his neighbourhood. His depth of character, tolerance, moral compass, love of sports (Montreal Canadiens), passion for life, warmth and kindness made him a treasure to his family, friends and colleagues. His loss has left a deep hole in our hearts. Dan is survived by his wife Liz and son Josh, and siblings Alain, Claudette (Jim) Valerie (Peter), Charlotte (Ken], Gerard [Peg], Evelyne (Dave), Edie (Martin) Norman (Karen); mother-in-law Zofia Potrebko, brother-in-law Peter (Krystal); as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces & nephews. Dan was predeceased by his parents and father in law Bogdan Potrebko. A private family viewing will take place on August 22 and private mass will take place on Monday August 24, 2020 at 9:30 am with internment taking place at Holy Ghost Cemetery with reception to follow.
