DENNIS LILLEY

Obituary of DENNIS ARTHUR NORMAN LILLEY

DENNIS A. LILLEY June 8, 1952 - June 10, 2020 Dennis passed away suddenly, but peacefully after a lengthy battle with cancer. He was predeceased by his parents Jean and Norman Lilley. Norman, just nine months ago. He leaves to mourn his wife, Elaine of 41 years; son Steven; daughter Stacey Shine (Russ); two grandsons, Evan and Max; sisters, Peggy Sly (Don), Norma Lacoursiere (Omer); nieces, Chantal (Nick), Jordan, Raylene Thompson (Graham), Aria and Aiden. His best friend, Len Mills; numerous cousins; sisters in law; brothers in law; nieces and nephews. Dennis was a very quiet but a very loving family man. He loved his wife and two children, but his two grandsons stole his heart forever. (Bampa). Dennis was the kind of person that would drop everything if you needed help, even if he didn’t know you. He was the guy you could call to ask to borrow tools, or to ask what kind of sandpaper to use, or any other question you may have. Just don’t ask him to finish any projects around his own home. He loved changing things up and before he’d finish one project, another was already started. He was very quiet and reserved, but watch out for the one liners that would come your way and completely catch you off guard. (Chantal’s on fire). He will be truly missed and never forgotten. Dennis worked for Graphic Packaging. The family would like to thank Graphic Packaging for all their support. Dennis loved working for them and told his family that he would never retire. He would even work while he had his chemo treatments and then he would return to work. Thank you to CancerCare at Concordia Hospital. Thanks to Dr. Harris and her wonderful team at CancerCare. Donations can be made to CancerCare Manitoba. Memorial Service will be at later date. The family will notify everyone of the date.
