LENORE JOSE

Obituary of LENORE JOSE

LENORE JOSE Lenore Jose, aka “Nanny”, age 82, was called to Heaven by Jesus and His angels on April 28th, 2020 at 8:30 pm after a long battle with Myelodyplastic Syndrome. She was born January 4th, 1938 in Winnipeg, Manitoba to William and Anne Kozub. She met and fell in love with Ray Jose, and two weeks later they married in October of 1957. Together, they had five children and were happily married for over forty years before her husband preceded her to Heaven in 1998. Lenore was an overwhelmingly generous person. She was generous with her smiles, her kindness, her compassion, and her understanding. She supported all of the endeavors of her family without criticism, and it was rare to hear a negative word leave her lips. Lenore was also generous with her gifts, and she had many. She could knit up a storm as if she knew how to knit all her life, but was self-taught at age 50. She could cook, sew, sing, and draw like no one else, but would never boast of her abilities. She created the most magnificent poems and prose, which her family will treasure forever. She had a special way with children, successfully running her own childcare program for several years. She adored cats and had acquired an incredible collection of cat ornaments. Her family is comforted to know that she will be greeted in Heaven by both her family and her favorite feline, Tonka. Most of all, Lenore was generous with her love. She loved with an endless depth and width, and all who knew or met her were drawn to her because of this love, and could not help loving her back. That love will forever be with her children Billie Jose, Bart (Heather) Jose, Tana (Lawrence) Sahulka, Venice (Jay) Jose and Eden (Dennis) Craig; grandchildren Raina (Dean) Graves, Jacob (Dakota) Derksen, Brianna (Dan) Jose and Hannah, Brendon (Chrissy) Jose, Sarah, Quinn, Eve and Ray Sahulka, Jett (Tobias), Vann (Lauren) and Zane Hansel; Olivia, Lenore, Alana Craig and Bodie; and great grandchildren Jayce Jose, Jack, Ula, Jude, Gertie, Francis, Nila, Finnigan and Edith Graves. Two more great grandchildren are on their way. She is survived by her sister Naomi (Al) Phillips, niece Pam (Frank) Chopp, great nieces Janelle Lamor, Hope Lessick, Journey Lessick and great nephew Brennan Lessick. As well, her family from her husband’s side were always very near and dear to her heart. Lenore’s sister Angie, her brother Bill, and her nephews Mathew, Jordan and Jason all waited for her in Heaven. She will never be forgotten, always loved, always missed.
